Description

This is a unique opportunity to join a new start-up energy efficiency company focused on commercial and industrial lighting applications. We are looking for a hands-on program manager to drive the release of HID Labs product line to the commercial market. You will use your proven experience and expertise in managing on-time delivery of products with hardware and software subsystems. You will lead the cross functional collaboration, manage the product lifecycle, hold departments accountable, and work the schedule to insure the team success. The challenge of this position is using experience, judgment, and know-how to build working relationships that foster high performance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the project schedule for new product availability.
  • Work with senior management to communicate status and insure projects are running on-track with respect to committed delivery dates.
  • Project planning, tracking and control as well as reporting progress to executives.
  • Facilitating meetings and monitoring action items for the organization.
  • Adds value to the company by gathering and organizing information and developing presentation materials for periodic management reviews.
  • Provides assessment of project issues and develops solutions to those issues to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to set, plan, and execute against aggressive product release schedules.
  • Demonstrated strong project/program management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership attributes (strategic thinking, sharing of organizational goals, drive business changes).
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of product development lifecycle processes, procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others across functional organizations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with emphasis on influencing people and building strong relationships is required.

Professional Experience

  • 5-7 years of hands on industry experience in teams that deliver products to the commercial marketplace.
  • The ideal candidate has a track record of setting clear priorities, motivating his team and driving a culture of innovation, openness and execution throughout the organization.
  • Strong team leadership and the ability to execute on multiple programs concurrently.

Education

  • Four-year technical degree in related disciplines or equivalent professional experience.
  • Certification in Program Management strongly preferred.
