Test Engineer II

Contract, full-time, 40 hr/week, 3 months

Description

Development position work with a new start-up company in the energy efficiency space to take new technology to commercialization. Directly responsible for specification and testing of our new products through the internal product release cycle.

Must enjoy working in an environment where your personal initiative, drive, and determination are required to get the job done. Looking for someone with deep industry experience in design and execution of engineering qualification testing. Bring value to the company with your experience in releasing industrial and/or military-grade products to the market.

Responsibilities

  • Build comprehensive test procedures for validation testing.
  • Test execution for all testing procedures specified to qualify the product for release.
  • Design and develop necessary test facilities, for both hardware and software.
  • Investigate and procure all necessary test equipment.
  • Guide internal product testing for functional, system, and environmental testing.
  • Partner with outside test labs for independent qualification testing.
  • Work with select customers for product qualification, interoperability, and compatibility.
  • Reporting of test results to the company.

Professional Experience

  • Experience with analog & digital (mixed) signal designs.
  • Knowledge and experience with high-frequency switching power electronics.
  • Exposure to design and testing of high voltage circuits.
  • Complex board and system level design, development, validation highly desired.
  • Experience in design and development of engineering testing for functional, performance, stress and system validation testing.
  • Ability to create software systems to manage testing, highly desired.
  • Test programming language proficiency, highly desired.
  • Experience with processor-base architectures, preferred.

Education

  • 5-10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering required, graduate degree preferred.

Compensation

  • Based on experience and capability.
  • Company will cover housing costs, excluding utilities, for the duration of the assignment.
